An afternoon with Prof Abdullah Abu Sayeed

Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed, a versatile Bangladeshi writer- television presenter, has paid a courtesy visit to Apasen head office to see its activities last month. The Chief Executive of Apasen and Apasen International Mr Mahmud Hasan MBE welcomes him to the office and briefs him about its recent initiatives. Professor Sayeed appreciates Apasen’s wide range of services and expresses his positive notion about upcoming projects in Bangladesh. He says,

”… people with disabilities will be hugely benefited if Apasen International can replicate the Day Care model in Bangladesh.”

The philanthropic author, Abdullah Abu Sayeed, is currently the chairman of Biswa Sahitya Kendra, a non-profit organization that promotes the study of literature, reading habits and progressive ideas. At this moment, the BSK has 500 schools under this programme, and over 100000 active student members. Besides these programmes, Biswa Sahitya Kendra actively maintains libraries across the nation. It pioneered the concept of mobile library in Bangladesh, which carries books around the country.
