Apasen International, in association with BRAC, has successfully completed its first phase of NDD project to improve the quality of lives of Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disable; Cerebral Palsy and Down’s Syndrome children. The second phase of Neuro Developmental Disability (NDD) project has been expanded from first phase. In the second phase, 3 NDD centres are operating at Korail slum in Dhaka, Ghashitula in Sylhet and Fulbari Railgate in Khulna. Over the time, various activities and services have been introduced to develop the quality of NDD centre. The NDD has been implementing its activities with the support of Health Nutrition and Population Program (HNPP) of BRAC. Network on NDD has been strengthening with ‘Jatiya Protibondhi Unnayan Foundation (JPUF)’ under the Ministry of Social Welfare (MoSW), Autism Welfare Foundation (AWF) and other relevant organisations. The Apasen International (AI) has also been providing technical supports for staff and teachers’ development as well as financial support for implementation of NDD.
