Our Strategic Priorities

Health and social care services

We will address the lack of free quality health, and education, and livelihoods services for children and adults with learning disabilities, autism, and other special needs by establishing and operating community based inclusive centres and activities in rural areas and urban slums.

Capacity building and training

We will tackle the lack of trained health workers, care workers, therapists, medical professionals, and teachers in rural areas and urban slums by investing in human resources and helping to build and strengthen the health and social care sector in Bangladesh.

Public awareness campaigns

We will combatsocial stigma and discrimination by producing informative materials and organising public awareness activities to increase support for the rights of children and adults with disabilities in Bangladesh.

Advocacy and policy work

We will address the lack of free government services available by lobbying the Government of Bangladesh to develop health, education, and livelihood facilities and opportunities and supporting national advocacy campaigns.

Residential respite centres

We will tackle the lack of dedicated specialised residential respite centres for people with disabilities and other special needs – including the elderly – by building and operating new care centres across Bangladesh.
